72%

of managers at large and medium-sized Russian industrial companies report that the financial and economic situation of their enterprises was ‘satisfactory’.

5% of respondents assessed the current situation as ‘favourable’, and only 23% said the status was ‘unsatisfactory’.

This distribution of responses may indicate that top managers at enterprises have gradually grown accustomed to working in the stagnant-recessionary mode that has affected the industry since mid-2013 and that they are in no hurry to change their management model towards intensified production.

These data are presented in a new Monitoring the Business Climate at Industrial Enterprises study that was conducted in July 2015 by the Centre for Business Tendency Studies at the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge (ISSEK).
