Problems of intercultural communication in the business environment of Singapore

On January 30 Vasileva E.D. took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report on "Problems of intercultural communication in the business environment of Singapore".

Singapore is a vivid example of a multi-ethnic society. Synchronous processes of economic globalization, language Westernization and the desire to preserve the cultural characteristics of ethnic groups make this region extremely interesting for the study of strategies for intercultural interaction. In a business environment, representatives of both Eastern and Western cultural traditions interact on an ongoing basis. During the report, the process of intercultural interaction in the business environment of Singapore at the axiological, verbal and non-verbal levels was considered.
