This is the largest figure for the entire period that innovative activity in the Russian economy has been observed since the mid-1990s.

In high-tech sectors, such as those that manufacture air- and spacecraft, medical equipment, pharmaceutical products, and communications equipment, the share of innovative products in total sales is almost twice as high as the market average, reaching 16.9%.

These data are presented in a new HSE Data Book – ‘Indicators of Innovation: 2015’ – which will be published in early 2015.
