HSE Tops the Ranking of Universities Leading in Technology Entrepreneurship
HSE University has taken a leading position in the university ranking prepared by the 'Expert' analytical centre. The ‘Techpred-50’ ranking evaluates the success of educational institutions in training founders of technology startups over the period from 2014 to 2023. HSE University has entered the Top-3, alongside MIPT and Moscow State University.
HSE Students Receive Grants for Launching Startups
Following the results of the 5th round of the ‘Student Startup’ competition, 32 HSE University students emerged as winners. Twelve students submitted applications in the ‘H1. Digital Technologies’ category with the support of the Faculty of Computer Science Entrepreneurs Club.
‘Making Useful Acquaintances Quickly and Easily’
From the very beginning of their university years, HSE students start to develop their own start-up ideas. As a result, three graduates of the bachelor’s programme in Software Engineering of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science—Andrey Losyukov, Timofey Valov, and Alexander Kulakov—created the HiBye platform for networking at events. HSE Student Develops Platform for Online Physical Training
A student of the HSE Faculty of Computer Science and a team of like-minded people have created Fora.Vision, a startup platform for conducting remote physical training lessons in schools and universities. The computer vision-based system automatically counts the number of completed exercises and displays students’ progress in the teacher's personal account.
Applications Now Open for Winter HSE Startup Cup 2022
The HSE University Business Incubator has started accepting applications for the HSE Startup Cup. The competition, which is being held for the fourth time, has become a large-scale event for the best student startups from all of the university’s campuses. Participants of the competition have the opportunity to launch a startup and receive financing for their projects.
‘I Want Blind People to Be Able to Use Everything Other People Use’
On June 10th, the Cultural Centre hosted the open final of the HSE Startup Cup competition held by the HSE Business Incubator. First place in the ‘Idea’ category went to a project by 13-year-old Daniil Khachaturov to adapt educational web resources for blind and visually impaired people. The student and his mentor, Gulshat Suhanova, lecturer at the Institute of Education of HSE University, spoke with the News Service about his participation in the incubator and his start-up idea.
